Leeds United’s season, their push for a play-off place, will come down to the wire with the Whites still clinging on to hope of a top six finish.
In their way are games against Norwich (home) and Wigan (away), with Garry Monk’s side chasing a rampant Fulham side who are three points and 13 goals in front of them. Leeds need a Fulham slip this weekend to extend the play-off push to a final, nerve-jangling match against a Latics side who might be relegated by then.
This set of circumstances is also preventing the club making good on a pre-season promise to fans, to repay them up to 50% of their season ticket costs should Leeds United fail to make the play-offs – the final refund depending on number of tickets sold by a final date of May 31 2016.
As it was, the number of tickets sold by the cut-off point meant that these lucky season ticket buyers/renewals could receive a refund of 25% on what they paid – meaning an adult season ticket holder in the South Stand could receive a refund of £98.41p back to their account.
However, as Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay points out (below), Leeds’ continued involvement in the play-off picture means that the club’s deadline for refund forms to be back in needs to be extended.

Full details of season ticket refunds, assuming they come into play, are expected to be confirmed by the club next week. #lufc

Leeds sold around 14,500 season tickets for 2016-17 so eligible supporters will get a refund of 25 per cent. #lufc

The only way that Leeds fans will be able to apply for their refund early will be if Fulham gain three points from a win on Saturday against Brentford at Craven Cottage and Leeds fail to match this in their final home game against Norwich.
