Brighton’s promotion to the Premier League is already certain, the Seagulls soaring high after their last game. However, they’ll have nothing to celebrate at Carrow Road if the first half is anything to go by.
The Seagulls have had their wings clipped by the Canaries who are soaring, having gone into the half-time break two up against the already promoted south coast side. It’s not the scoreline that is anything special, rather the manner of the goals.
Both goals being classed as own goals attributed to none other than Brighton keeper David Stockdale, yes both of them.

Norwich will come out in the second half two to the good despite not having had a shot on target. The three points that they currently have in the bag from the helping back of keeper Stockdale move Norwich on to 66 points, maintaining the eighth place in the table that they can climb no higher than – Leeds United currently seven points ahead with Norwich only having a further six points left to gain.
Not that the two goals, nor the manner of them, have caused Brighton fans any concern judging by the following tweet from Sun reporter Tom Barclay.

On the lash or not, you can likely guess that any shot towards the Brighton goal that looks to be veering towards the woodwork will be met with a sharp intake of breath from Seagulls fans and the narrowing of eyes as if feeling pain.
As Norwich look to increase their lead, their fans are even getting in on the banter towards the Champions elect with barbed chants.
'Stockdale's on fire, your defence is terrified' now the chant
