Norwich City’s Ivo Pinto has told the club website that he hopes he’ll be part of a brighter future for the team.
The Canaries started the season hoping they would make a quick return to the Premier League, even though it would continue the reputation they are gaining that they are a yo-yo side. However they underwent some poor form which would eventually see Alex Neil get the sack and they are now officially out of the race for promotion now that they can no longer reach the Sky Bet Championship play-offs.
But even though the fans are currently miserable after not challenging for promotion this season, Pinto has high hopes for next season where they will be under new management. And while he is wanting to end the season well, he has now said he is hoping that can be part of what he calls a bright future for the club.
He said: “I always want better, to be at the top,”
“The fans have been amazing to me. They are probably the only part that didn’t fail this season, they are with us at both home and away games.”
“I appreciate it isn’t easy as a supporter, I know that as a supporter. Expectations were so high so when the team isn’t achieving their goals, we need them.”
