Fulham have received a huge boost as their star youngster Ryan Sessegnon is set to sign his first professional contract with the club according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The 16-year-old defender has been one of the most talked about teenagers in the country as he has been able to break into the Fulham first team even though most people his age are concentrating on making sure they get good GCSEs. This has led to some of the best teams in the country chasing his signature with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all said to be interested in signing him.
But the Cottagers will be delighted as they believe that they will be able to sign Sessegnon onto a professional contract next month. He is set to turn 17 on May 18th, which is when he will be able to sign his first pro deal. And Fulham are now confident that will be signing his first pro deal with them which should keep the starlet at Craven Cottage for a bit longer.
However Sessegnon may not be around for too longer as the main boon of getting him to sign this deal would be the guarantee of a big fee from clubs. The main fear from Fulham was that one of the big teams would snap him up on a pre-contract deal, which would see the West London side only getting compensation. However now they would be able to charge any interested part any amount of they like, and they will be sure to put a massive price tag on their star defender.
