Quite simply, the new goal for Sheffield United is to get 100 points. They have already been promoted from sky Bet League One and they were crowned as champions without even playing earlier this weekend. The only thing left is to breach the three figure mark and become one of the few teams to get 100 points or more.
And they are on their way to do that after a confident 3-0 win over Bradford City. It was always seen as a tough fixture, Bradford are currently in the play-offs and as this was a Yorkshire derby, anything could happen, but despite that the Blades made short work of the Bantams as they simply took them apart in the first half and made sure the win was secure before most people had finished off their Easter eggs.
The game looked like it was going to be another good day for Sheffield United when Leon Clarke scored early on with a cool finish before Billy Sharp ended his recent mini-drought by netting just a few minutes later. But while Bradford seemed like they might be getting some sort of footing in the game, United would get their final goal of the game when Clarke got his second when he finished off a superb counter attack.
The second half was fairly dull, with United looking to close out the game, but this led to win for the Blades which sees them move closer to their 100 points total. They will need to be perfect in their last two games to do so, but the fans are certainly confident as their promotion party continues.
