Sky Bet Championship bound club Sheffield United are set to join Glasgow giants Celtic in the race to sign out of favour Fulham midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen according to Get West London.
The 22-year-old Danish midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Craven Cottage and is currently enjoying a loan spell at Sky Bet Championship minnows Burton Albion.
Upon his return to West London at the end of the season, the player is not assured of a place in the Fulham side and the club could choose to sell Christensen.
With the Dane likely to leave Craven Cottage, a number of clubs are considering making moves for the player including Scottish Premiership champions Celtic and newly promoted Sky Bet League One outfit Sheffield United. The Blades were promoted back to the second tier on Saturday and manager Chris Wilder is believed to have identified Fulham midfielder Christensen as a possible transfer target with the player having impressed during his short stint with Burton Albion.
Christensen joined Fulham’s academy system after a successful trial with the club in November 2011 and the player has gone on to make 68 senior appearances for The Whites, scoring seven goals. The midfielder has made just seven appearances for the club this season and Fulham opted to loan Christensen out to gain regular first team football.
