A Wolverhampton Wanderers supporter was badly hurt when a fight broke out between supporters of both Wolves and Bristol City following the match at Ashton Gate on Saturday according to the Bristol Post.

Bristol City won the match 3-1 with a goal from Jamie Paterson and a double from on loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

Around an hour after the match, it has been reported that a fight broke out outside of the Spotted Cow pub in Bedminster involving fans of both clubs. Police soon arrived to deal with the incident however two of those involved in the fight were taken to hospital with a Wolves fan thought to have sustained a nasty head injury after being attacked on the floor.

Two supporters are understood to have been arrested and questioned on their involvement in the brawl while the two fans who were injured in the scuffle spent overnight in hospital due to the severity of their injuries.

Bristol City’s victory over Wolves saw the club move four points clear of relegation trouble after fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers lost 2-0 at home to Barnsley. The match was the first played since the Bristol City players were made to reimburse travelling fans following their 5-0 thrashing at Preston North End in midweek.
