Pearce, Derby County must be wary of dangerous Fulham

Derby County must be wary of dangerous Fulham

Derby County’s Alex Pearce has told the Derby Telegraph that they must be wary of Fulham due to how dangerous they can be.

The Cottagers are riding on a high after they finally took advantage of Sheffield Wednesday’s recent form and overtook them in the table, taking their place in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs. Now they will be looking to cement their place in the top six by claiming a win over Derby County, a team who will also be looking to get into the play-off picture.

The Rams are currently 10th in the Championship and are eight points behind Fulham. This means that they do have a chance of making it into the top six and therefore the play-offs, though they would need to win tonight’s match. And Pearce has warned his team that if they want to do, they will have to beware of one of what he said is one of the better sides they have faced this season.

He said: “They are a very good team and I was very impressed with them when we played them at their place,”

“I thought they were probably one of the better sides we have played this season, for sure.”

“They are very dangerous in an attacking sense. They get a lot of men forward and pass the ball very quickly, with high tempo.”

“So we are going to have to be on our guard against them.”

“But I also think that anyone coming to our home ground will be in for a tough game.”

“We will be looking to impose ourselves on the game and, hopefully, get the three points.”
