Leeds United must add to Brighton & Hove Albion’s poor record on their travels against top five sides by beating The Seagulls at Elland Road on Saturday evening.
The promotion chasing heavyweights are set to go into battle in a thrilling clash in West Yorkshire with both clubs in desperate need of the points for their own reasons.
Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion are separated by just goal difference at the top of the Sky Bet Championship and Chris Hughton’s side are determined to keep up the heat on The Magpies while three points for Leeds United would push Garry Monk’s men closer to securing their place in the end of season Play Offs.
The Whites will be looking to add to Albion’s woes when facing top five teams on their travels this season. The Seagulls have lost at Newcastle United (2-0) and Huddersfield Town (3-1) while they could only draw 2-2 with Reading at The Madejski Stadium earlier this season.
In comparison, Leeds United have lost to both Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town on their own patch although they did beat Reading 2-0 in December and The Whites will be looking to avoid an unwanted record of losing to all of the current top three at Elland Road.
Leeds United go into the clash unbeaten in their last six matches and Monk’s side will undoubtedly want to prove that they have what it takes to beat one of the very best sides in the division.
