Klose, Timm Klose unsure if he will be staying at Norwich City

Timm Klose unsure if he will be staying at Norwich City

Norwich City’s Timm Klose has told the Swiss newspaper Basellandschaftliche Zeitung, with the comments being translated by the Eastern Daily Press, that he is unsure if he will be staying at the club beyond the summer.

The 28-year-old defender is a highly rated Swiss international who signed for the Canaries back in January 2016, just a few months before they were relegated to the Sky Bet Championship. However unlike many players who would jump at the thought of playing in the second tier of English football, Klose decided to stay with Norwich and try to get them promoted back to the Premier League.

However now that they are managerless and are currently outside the play-off places, that is looking unlikely. In addition to that, Klose has not played the last couple of games due to suffering from a back problem. And now he admitted that his future is unclear as he would like to either move back to the Premier League or play for hometown club FC Basel.

He said: “Of course this depends on the new coach,”

“But it is also the case that we have decided with the club that we will soon discuss my future.”

“Of course my heart beats for the FCB, which is an open secret, but I need to rethink my situation and consider all options,”

“Basically, I would like to play in the Premier League, because my time there was simply too short.”

Klose will hope to be back in the first team for Norwich’s match against Barnsley.
