Arsenal and Chelsea send scouts to watch Wolves star

Arsenal and Chelsea sent scouts to watch Helder Costa in his match for Wolves against Rotherham United according to a report from the Daily Mirror.

The 23-year-old winger has been one of the few positives in what has been a mediocre season for Wolves. After initially signing for the club on loan in summer before making the deal permanent in January in a record £13m deal, he became the team’s highest scorer after netting 10 times. But despite only signing a new deal with Wolves just a couple of months ago, it is believed that he is already attracting attention from the best of the Premier League.

This report suggests that his agent Jorge Mendes is trying to get him a big move to one of the best teams in the top tier, with him telling sides that they can get a potential star by splashing out £20m. And plenty of sides have become interested and have started to watch the player to see if he would be a good move for them. Reportedly, Arsenal and Chelsea sent scouts to watch Costa in his match against Rotherham last night though they might not have been impressed. While Wolves won the game 1-0, Costa missed a penalty in the first half and ended up being substituted in the 66th minute.

Despite this, it is expected that more and more scouts will end up watching Costa over the next few weeks as his agent looks to get him a big move to a Premier League side during the summer.
