Aston Villa recorded one of their best results of the season by beating Play Off chasing Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at Villa Park in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday afternoon.

A goal in each half from Jonathan Kodjia proved to be enough for Villa to defeat The Owls who had Vincent Sasso sent off early in the second half for a dangerous challenge on Conor Hourihane.

The victory was Villa’s fourth in five league matches and Steve Bruce’s side now find themselves in the top half of the Sky Bet Championship table. After the match, fans took to Twitter to give their views on the result.
