Improving Sky Bet Championship club Blackburn Rovers are expected to get a result from this afternoon’s match with Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Rovers looked set to fall through the relegation trap door when new boss Tony Mowbray was appointed as former manager Owen Coyle’s successor just over a fortnight ago but there is renewed hope surrounding Ewood Park after a good run of results.
News of Mowbray’s appointment was initially met with a negative reaction from the Rovers faithful but a return of eight points from his first four matches in charge of the Lancashire outfit has now given Rovers a real chance of survival following a turbulent season at Ewood Park.
With Mowbray’s arrival proving to be a breath of fresh air to the club, Blackburn Rovers go into this afternoon’s match at Norwich City fancied by many to get some kind of result. Rovers have conceded just two goals in Mowbray’s first four matches in charge and look more than capable of providing a stern test to the managerless home side.
Rovers have one of the poorest defensive records in the Sky Bet Championship but new boss Mowbray has brought stability, organisation and belief to the club and despite their lowly league position, it would be no shock to see Rovers grabbing at least a point from Carrow Road.
