Leeds United goalkeeper Rob Green is set to make his 600th career league appearance when the club host Queens Park Rangers this Saturday.
Green, 37, has made 36 of his current 599 league appearances for Leeds, and is set to make it 37 for Leeds and 600 overall on Saturday. Leeds are hosting one of Green’s former clubs, Queens Park Rangers, and will want to avenge their 3-0 defeat in London on the opening day of the season.
Leeds fans reacted to the news of Green’s upcoming 600th career league appearances on Twitter. Most Leeds fans acknowledged how solid Green has looked recently and commented on his good form:

A couple of fans commented on the difference in Green’s form now compared with the start of the season, with one fan using strong language to describe the goalkeeper’s early season form:
@WACCOE I remember start of season qpr warning g is off him. Was shit against them but since he has been top class.

Might of had a shakey start to his Leeds career but reckon Rob Green is one of, if not the best keeper in the championship #ALAW

However perhaps the biggest praise for Green came from his manager, Garry Monk.
Rob Green will bring up 600 league games v QPR on Saturday. Monk said it's a "massive achievement" and "he's still going strong." #lufc

Green has had a strong second half of the season so far for Leeds and will want to end the campaign in similar form. Going into the final ten games, Leeds are fourth in the Championship table and eight points clear of seventh place. The fans will be hoping for at least a play-off place from this season, and Green could be a key player in helping to deliver this.
