Since the clubs resurrection in 1977 Gateshead have not appeared in the Football League. Achieving promotion via the play-offs would be fantastic for the club. The Tynesider’s are only 3 points inside the play-offs with 3 games remaining. It’s worth noting the club are unbeaten in 10, a record that has helped push them up the league table. This record is still in tack thanks to keeper Adam Bartlett who saved a penalty on Tuesday against fellow play-off chasing Braintree. Gateshead have only conceded 4 times in 10 games, a strong defence will be needed if The Tynesider’s are to hold a play-off spot.
