There were 35 games across the Football League this Saturday and as always, the results didn’t disappoint.

Nottingham Forest 3-0 Brighton & Hove Albion

18th placed Nottingham Forest shocked highflyers Brighton at the City Ground.

After a goalless first half, the struggling side took the lead through youngster Zach Clough on 60 minutes. The young striker has certainly had an impact since making the switch to the City Ground from League One Bolton Wanderers back in January, with him on hand once again to put his side 1-0 up.

Despite pressure from the travelling side and three substitutions, Forest held on and capitalised with two more goals late on in the game. Midfielder Ben Osborn first got on the scoresheet in the 89th minute before Clough rounded off the performance with a goal from the penalty spot.

The big win for Forest stretches their gap from the relegation zone to six points. The result also has big implications at the other end of the table with the loss meaning Brighton are now five points behind Newcastle in first and only six points ahead of the chasing play-off pack.
