Wolves close to selling out for Reading match

Wolves are set to sell out the away stand at the Madejski Stadium for their match against Reading according to a report from Get Reading.

The Black County have been in miserable form over the last few weeks and have lost four games in a row which has seen them drop to 20th in the Sky Bet Championship. They are now well and truly involved in a battle to stay in the league though their head coach Paul Lambert was recently quoted as believing the squad had enough characters to help them prevent dropping back into Sky Bet League One.

But even with the club in poor form despite the high expectations laid upon them before the season after money invested into them by new owners Fosun International, their fans are set to travel in numbers for their battle against promotion chasing Reading. They have already sold 1,700 tickets and it is widely expected that will sell out of their 2,112 allocation before Saturday, when the game takes place.

It will be a long trip down to Berkshire for Wolves fans, but a number of the huge group planning to head down the M40 may have been tempted by the ticket prices. They have been capped at £20 for this fixture because the Royals signed up to the Football Supporters Federation Twenty’s Plenty scheme, which sees tickets being offered at £20 so more people can get to the games. And it has worked for Wolves as their fans are set to fill out the away stand in the hope of a win.
