5 of the Football League’s best young English managers

Someone that’s probably flown under people’s radars for the past few years, Gary Rowett has done a nice job getting Burton Albion pushing towards promotion. In his first season he managed to maintain a play-off push that had stalled under Paul Peschisolido the year before, missing out on an automatic place by just two points.

This year he’s maintained that consistency, with the club looking very likely to involved in the play-offs again with a squad that has experienced them before, unlike the other teams that will be involved. Promotion to League One will be an excellent achievement for Rowett who’s managerial skills are underrated.
