Sky Bet Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers announced the appointment of former Celtic and Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray as their new boss on Wednesday morning.
The 53-year-old Teessider was the hot favourite for the job after Rovers sacked former boss Owen Coyle less than 24 hours earlier.
Mowbray takes charge of a Blackburn Rovers side who are currently three points adrift from safety in 23rd position in the Sky Bet Championship table and after hearing news of his appointment, fans took to Twitter to give their views on the club’s new manager.
Some #BRFC fans need to get a grip. Mowbray needs to be given a chance. Fans need to get behind in. Staying up is imperative for everyone.

All credit to Venkys Senior Cheston and whoever for not dithering and for making a quick appointment at least #BRFC

What did people expect, best of a bad bunch, previous promotion experience. That said it's a bigger issue. Get behind the lads #BRFC
