Rovers appoint Mowbray as new boss – Twitter reacts

Sky Bet Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers announced the appointment of former Celtic and Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray as their new boss on Wednesday morning.

The 53-year-old Teessider was the hot favourite for the job after Rovers sacked former boss Owen Coyle less than 24 hours earlier.

Mowbray takes charge of a Blackburn Rovers side who are currently three points adrift from safety in 23rd position in the Sky Bet Championship table and after hearing news of his appointment, fans took to Twitter to give their views on the club’s new manager.

Mowbray’s first match in charge will be against relegation rivals Burton Albion at The Pirelli Stadium on Friday evening.
