Forest boss rules out deal for midfielder

Nottingham Forest manager Gary Brazil has confirmed that the club will not be offering a contract to former midfielder Guy Moussi according to the Nottingham Post.

The 32-year-old Bondy born midfield anchorman has been training with Forest this season in a bid to maintain his fitness after leaving Finnish Veikkausliiga club HJK Helsinki.

The Reds have permitted the player to play in the club’s development squad fixtures to allow Moussi to experience regular football but new Forest boss Brazil has confirmed that while the midfielder is welcome to continue to train with The Reds, there is no opportunity to earn a contract with the Midlands club.

Moussi is a product of the academy system at French club Angers SCO and the player successfully went on to make 100 appearances for Les Scoistes, scoring two goals.

In summer 2008, the midfielder moved to England to join Nottingham Forest and the player went on to enjoy a six-year spell at The City Ground in which he made 150 appearances and scored three goals. Moussi was released by The Reds at the end of the 2013/2014 campaign and a short spell with Birmingham City followed before a move to Finnish club HJK Helsinki.

Forest boss Brazil has confirmed that Moussi is currently interesting a couple of clubs and could find a new home in the near future.
