Sean Morrison wants the same again from Cardiff City

Cardiff City’s Sean Morrison has told BBC Sport that he wants the same performance they did against Leeds United again when they face Derby County.

Not many expected Cardiff to beat Leeds at the weekend, especially with the Whites being in such good form at Elland Road. However they put in a trademark Neil Warnock display and managed to earn themselves the win with goals from Morrison and Kenneth Zohore helping them to secure all three points.

And now they have another tough game lined up for Valentines Day tomorrow as they head to Derby County. The Rams have started to recover from a poor start to the season and they are currently 8th in the Sky Bet Championship, five points off Sheffield Wednesday in 6th place. And Morrison knows that it could be even tougher than the game on Saturday, so they will need to reproduce the same display if they want to win the game.

He said: “If we can be as solid as we were against Leeds then we’ve got every chance of coming away with three points,”

“It’s going to be tough, Derby have a good squad with a lot of good players,”

“But they’ve had a difficult week with the cup and that. If we can go there and put in a performance like the one we did against Leeds then we’ve got every chance of coming back with at least a point and maybe all three.

“Under the boss we are solid. We know what we are capable of. We’ll go to Derby confident. If you go to Leeds and come away with a clean-sheet and a win with the run they are on, then we will go to Derby with nothing to fear.”
