Brighton and Hove vs Burton Albion team news

Brighton & Hove Albion host Burton Albion tomorrow as the Seagulls look to continue their promotion march.

Chris Hughton’s side are currently suffering a three-game winless streak but will look to gain victory against a struggling Burton team.

Lewis Dunk will be available for selection after serving his one-game ban in last week’s 3-3 draw with Brentford.

Manager Hughton has revealed that Dale Stephens and Sam Baldock are both back in contention at the weekend following injury problems. However, Gaetan Bong will miss the game through injury as the full-back continues to recover from a knee problem.

Burton are currently 21st in the Championship and just three points above the relegation zone but will be high on confidence following last week’s 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Brewers boss Nigel Clough is expected to name a similar side to the win but Damien McCrory is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

Burton striker Chris O’Grady is ineligible to compete against his parent club .

The Brewers’ current injury problems continue with Kyle McFadzean (toe), John Brayford (knee), Lloyd Dyer (calf) and Luke Varney (punctured lung) all not expected to feature tomorrow.

The last meeting between the sides in September saw a late Tomer Hemed penalty in the 88th-minute become the difference as Brighton returned to the AMEX with all three points.

Promotion rivals Newcastle United travel to Wolves and, with results going Brighton’s way, the East Sussex side could move to first place in the Championship.

A win for Clough’s side could move the club to 19th.
