Sheffield Wednesday’s on loan striker Jordan Rhodes has followed up his assist for The Owls’ winning goal at Wigan Athletic last weekend with the opening goal against Birmingham City in the Sky Bet Championship at Hillsborough this evening.
The 27-year-old Oldham born hotshot joined Wednesday on transfer deadline day on a loan deal until the end of the season from Premier League club Middlesbrough.
The striker scored six goals in 24 appearances during a hugely frustrating spell on Teesside and Rhodes has moved to South Yorkshire to grab more first team football. After seeing the player open his Sheffield Wednesday goalscoring account, fans of parent club Middlesbrough took to Twitter to give their views on the loan move.

Jordan Rhodes scores within 10 mins. Yet another reason for me to moan about why we shouldn't have sold him. Some striker. #BORO
