Aston Villa join Arsenal and Tottenham in battle to sign Blackpool starlet

Aston Villa have joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the chase to sign Blackpool’s Bright Osayi-Samuel according to a report from the Birmingham Mail.

The Tangerines were relegated from Sky Bet League One last season and now that they are in Sky Bet League Two, things haven’t got much better. While there is no threat of relegation at Bloomfield Road this year, they have shown no potential to get promoted back to League One and they are currently 14th in League Two right now.

However if there is one thing that manages to keep Blackpool fans going to the stadium each week, it is the bright performances of their youngster Osayi-Samuel. After having a childhood that saw him live in a couple of different countries such as Nigeria and Spain, he eventually found himself in England and in the Blackpool academy. After making his début in 2015, he slowly found himself playing more and more for the first team and is now a key player for the side.

However these performances have been noticed by teams higher up in the league ladder, with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham both trying to sign the 19-year-old winger, who can also play as a striker, to their prestigious academies. Now though they are going to be joined in the race by Aston Villa who are very confident of securing his signing. They beat the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United to the signing of Jacob Bedeau and if they were able to do that, they believe they’ll also be able to sign Osayi-Samuel.
