McCormack’s villa career ‘over’ says Jim White

The countries favourite deadline day personality has, tonight, insisted that Ross McCormack’s Aston Villa career is finished.

White, who was doing an interview for the Birmingham Mail, insisted that he couldn’t see any other way to end the saga involving the Scottish forward than to find pastures new.

It has, up to now, remained questionable whether he would still be an Aston Villa player come 11 PM. He has today been the subject of interest from Nottingham Forest and earlier in the interest, was the subject of speculation from Wolves.

His big talking point this January, however, was the incident that saw his manager Steve Bruce lambast him in a press conference. Bruce alleged that McCormack had frequently missed training sessions. Even saying he’d gone as far as blaming his gate for not being able to attend.

“Well, I mean it’s just bizarre beyond words isn’t it?” White said of his fellow countryman.

“Ross McCormack I think has had problems with punctuality and discipline.

“And quite simply he’s got himself in a fix here and only Ross McCormack can get out of it.

“It’s my understanding that he’s missed training five times now and on one of the occasions now famously blamed the electric gate that he couldn’t get out

McCormack was the first major signing of Roberto Di Matteo’s reign. The Italian lost his job in October and was replaced by Steve Bruce.

“It’s laughable, put it that way. And we’re talking about one of the most established, wonderful, most dignified clubs in English football.
