League 1 Weekend Preview

Crewe v Wolves

An important game at both ends of the table is Crewe v Wolves.

Wolves v crewe 2Crewe, who are 21st but only in the relegation zone on goal difference, come into this game on the back of a 2-1 away win at Crawley. However, they have not won at home since February 1st. Crewe can still escape from the drop and it might be down to Chuks Aneke’s goals. The 20 year old front man has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season, and without his goal scoring touch Alexandra might already be down and out.

Wolves, who were almost everyone’s tip for the title at the start of the season, have been around the top all season. They already have 90 points, which last season would  have seen them finish top by 6 points. However, due to the incredible pace that the top 5 have set over the course of the season, they are not even mathematically certain to go up yet. Although, Wolves fans know that they only need 1 win and 1 draw from their last five to seal promotion.

Previous Score: Wolves 2-0 Crewe

Score Prediction: Crewe 0-2 Wolves
