Leeds United striker Lee Erwin could be set for a deadline day move with Scottish outfits Partick Thistle and Kilmarnock interested, according to reports.
The 22-year-old is currently out on-loan at League One strugglers Oldham Athletic, scoring four goals and assisting a further two in 29 appearances in all competitions.
Despite currently being on-loan, the two Scottish outfits are hopeful that they can get a deal done before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Partick Thistle currently sit in 6th place in the Scottish Premiership standings following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Inverness. Kilmarnock sit in 8th position, but are equal on 23 points with Partick.
In terms of incomings at the West Yorkshire club, Leeds are still battling to try and secure the signing of West Ham United forward Ashley Fletcher.
However, Championship rivals Aston Villa’s attempts to sign Brentford striker Scott Hogan could potentially derail a deal to bring the youngster to Elland Road.
With West Ham now fearing they will not get a deal done in time for Hogan, it could have consequences on Leeds United’s chances of signing Fletcher.
The Whites were confident of securing two signatures before the transfer window slams shut, with Alfonso Pedraza set to join the club on-loan from Spanish side Villarreal.
Fletcher has featured in 12 Premier League games so far this season but failed to find the net. His only goal has come in the 4-1 EFL Cup defeat to his former club Manchester United.
The forward has had better luck playing in Premier League 2, scoring three and assisting another in five appearances in the reserve competition.
Leeds currently sit in 4th place in the Sky Bet Championship table following Wednesday night’s 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.
