QPR winger set for loan exit

Queens Park Rangers will allow out of favour winger Nasser El Khayati to join Sky Bet League One club Oxford United on loan for the remainder of the current campaign according to Get West London.

The 27-year-old Rotterdam born wide man has found first team playing opportunities difficult to come by at Loftus Road and the player is now expected to complete a loan move to Oxford United this week.

QPR paid a transfer fee of around £350,000 to sign the player from Burton Albion on transfer deadline day last February and despite making 16 appearances and scoring one goal for The Hoops last season, El Khayati has added just nine more appearances to his tally for the West London club this term.

The winger started his career with PSV but the player failed to make the grade at the Philips Stadion and soon joined FC Den Bosch before playing for NAC Breda. After failing to launch his career in his homeland, El Khayati moved to Cyprus where he featured for Olympiakos Nicosia but the player soon left the club after again failing to impress.

The winger finally made an impact with Dutch third tier club Kozakken Boys scoring 12 goals in 18 matches and in January 2015 El Khayati joined Burton Albion. The player enjoyed a hugely successful spell with The Brewers in Sky Bet League One and El Khayati will be hoping for similar success at the same level with Oxford United.
