Power, Brentford aim to sign the player with the name you want to touch

Brentford aim to sign the player with the name you want to touch

Brentford are looking to sign Wigan Athletic’s Max Power according to a report from report from Page 57 from The Sun.

The Bees are set to get a massive transfer kitty when Scott Hogan completes his £15m move to Premier League side West Ham United, though some of that money will be going to his previous club Rochdale due to a sell on fee, and are planning to spend that money on not just getting a Hogan replacement but on reinforcing the rest of the squad.

And one of the players they are looking to sign is Power who is currently contracted to Wigan. While the Latics haven’t really impressed yet this season, they are currently 21st in the Sky Bet Championship which is a perilous position as they are only out of the relegation zone and above Burton Albion on the play-off places, Power has shown he can compete at this level after a number of impressive performances.

But with Wigan at the risk of relegation, Power may be tempted by a move up the Championship table to Brentford. As they look to add more energy to their midfield, they are prepared to make a move for the 23-year-old midfielder. But Wigan are already being stubborn and are trying to send the West London side they aren’t willing to sell Power as they have rejected a bid of around £850K for him.

But with more money being available to spend, it is unlikely that the chase to sign Power will be over just yet.
