Luton Town boss in line for Nottingham Forest job

Luton Town head coach Nathan Jones is being considered for the Nottingham Forest job according to a report from HITC Sport.

Forest are currently without a manager after they decided to sack Philippe Montanier after they struggled to make any impact in the Sky Bet Championship this season, with the takeover from John Jay Moores that failed to transpire also conspiring to kick him out of the job just a few months after he was appointed.

This means that Forest are back at square one and are looking for a new boss that will finally taken them back into the Premier League. And after trying several different methods for appointing new managers, bringing back old favourites, appointing unknown managers with the hope they can innovate, they have decided to go for the more standard approach and are looking at a manager who has been successful lower down the leagues.

Jones is currently the head coach of Luton who have done very well this season and are currently sixth in Sky Bet League Two. Thanks to the good form that has taken Luton into the Sky Bet play-off spots, he is seen as one of the best young managers in the EFL and has been considered for other big managerial roles higher up the leagues before. But now Forest have him high up on their wanted list and he could be set for a move to the East Midlands.

Current caretaker manager Gary Brazil remains the favourite to get the Nottingham Forest job while Nigel Pearson and Gary Rowett are also linked.
