Fulham make last ditch effort to sign Belgium youth international

Fulham have made their final bid to try and sign Standard Liege’s Ibrahima Cisse according to a report from Belgian publication La Derniere Heure.

The Cottagers have made serious attempts to sign the 22-year-old midfielder since the start of the transfer window, but they have started to grow tired of the constant rebuffs to their attempts to try and sign him. This means they are prepared to move on to other targets but as they are still big admirers of Cisse, they are set to make one final bid.

In one last attempt to sign Cisse, Fulham will make a take it or leave it offer of £2.2m and have said that if that offer is not accepted, they will walk away from the deal and try to sign other targets. Of course for Standard it will be a consideration of whether they want to sell him or not and if they are happy with his departure, if they can’t get enough from another interested party. For Fulham, they will hope that this final bid will be enough to persuade the Belgian side to sell up.

Cisse, who has capped on several occasions by the Belgium u21s, may end up being the decisive factor though as he wants the move to Fulham. He sees it as a step up to play in the Sky Bet Championship and with this being the final offer him by the West London side, which means Cisse may try to make life difficult for his current employers if they turn down the current offer.
