Reports – Millers Reject £1.3 Million QPR Bid For Striker

Reports have suggested that Queens Park Rangers have made a £1.3 million bid for in demand striker Danny Ward, which Rotherham have turned down. Sky Sources are reporting that bids of up to £2 million from other clubs have also been turned down as well as the London clubs’ bid.

Ward is in good form this season despite the failings of Rotherham United. The South Yorkshire club are rock bottom of the Championship and haven’t really looked like getting off the bottom despite the odd win (the latest coming against Norwich City). Ipswich were linked with the player along with Leeds at times but Sky are reporting this is a concrete offer for the forward.

Ward seems set to move on whether it’s now or at the end of the season, even the most optimistic of Rotherham fans would admit holding onto him will be extremely unlikely. Ward has scored 10 goals in 27 appearances this season and has recently said despite the rumours he will continue to give 100 per cent every time he steps on the park for the side.

The news comes in the aftermath of a mini clear-out from Ian Holloway at Queens Park Rangers which has seen a few high profile players depart from the club. Sandro and Chery have left as Holloway looks to re-vamp the club and get them moving back up the table. ward would probably add something different to the side as they struggle for goals, Sebastian Polter also departing for Germany in this window.
