Brighton & Hove Albion’s stunning 18-match unbeaten streak in the Sky Bet Championship came to an end with a 2-0 defeat at Preston North End on Saturday afternoon.
The Lilywhites took an early lead when Paul Huntington headed in before Callum Robinson wrapped up the three points for the home side early in the second half.
The result sees Chris Hughton’s side slip to second place in the Sky Bet Championship table although Albion do boast a game in hand over table toppers Newcastle United.
After seeing their side’s proud run end in Lancashire, Brighton & Hove Albion fans took to Twitter to give their views on the result.
Perspective time. You can't win every game but it's how we respond that will show our mental strength #bhafc

It was ALWAYS going to happen, long unbeaten runs must always come to an end. Still we win our game in hand and we are 9 points clear #bhafc

The #bhafc run was always going to end at some point. Four of our last five league matches have been away. Won three lost one. Works for me

I think that result was coming, got away with it a bit against Fulham and Birmingham. Shows how important Dunk and Stephens are. #bhafc

Seriously hope the players hold their heads high after this. 3 defeats all season. In the top 2. Promotion in our hands. We go again. #BHAFC
