Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has confirmed what his Aston Villa staff are planning to do for the rest of the transfer window.
The Chairman, who has been vocally ambitious about what he wants to achieve at the club this season – took to twitter to assure fans of the club’s January plans.
Working hard every day now. About 7-8 targets ongoing but if we could get 3done, then it's not bad result. If 4, would be great. https://t.co/9Eg4YAba1u

This revelation will luck to cure any worries surrounding Aston Villa fans – who have so far seen their team make one signing this window. The signing of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on a loan deal from Manchester United.
Their pursuit, and the main rumour surrounding them his rumours has been the link with Nottingham Forest captain, Henri Lansbury.
As reported last week, any deal for the midfielder is likely to be completed following his current side’s impending takeover. Which has, so far, been delayed. Particularly worrying for the Forest fans – the initial takeover date had been set for Tuesday. The circumstances, however, mean they have been left to wait until at least the weekend for confirmation.
Despite the difficulties surrounding the deal, the former England Under-21 midfielder is said to be keen on the £3,000,000 switch to Villa Park.
Elsewhere, other options for the ‘7 or 8’ targets have been well documented.
So far, the likes of Barnsley’s Conor Hourihane, Steward Downing and James Bree have all been linked with a move to Villa Park this transfer window. The latest documented target being Peterborough Star, Marcus Maddison.
Elsewhere, in terms of outgoings, Jordan Ayew has been strongly linked with a move to China.
