Sheffield Wednesday’s Jack Stobbs is attracting attention from plenty of Sky Bet EFL clubs as the want to sign him on loan according to a report from HITC Sport.
The 19-year-old winger came through the Wednesday academy and while injuries have hobbled his progress slightly, he is still one of the highest rated prospects to come through the team in years and it is expected that he will break through into the first team at some point in the next few years.
But despite being held in high regard by the coaching staff, Stobbs hasn’t made a first team appearance for the Owls all season and now he’s even more unlikely to break into the first team this season following the signing of Callum McManaman on loan from West Bromwich Albion. And with their head coach Carlos Carvalhal wanting to him to play more competitive football than the U23s action he is currently used to, it is likely that he is set to be loaned out for the rest of the season with Stobbs said to be also very happy to go out to another club to prove himself.
This attracted the interest of many clubs from across the EFL to make approaches for the winger. While it is unknown which clubs have made bids to sign Stobbs, this report suggests many teams from Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two are looking to sign the youngster. Now there will be a battle between these sides to get his signature as they look to add a pacey winger to their squad.
