The 5 Most Underrated Players in the Championship

4th- Henri Lansbury (Nottingham Forest)

brighton-forest-051013-15-4340-1098935_478x359This might be a slightly controversial choice at 4th as people do appreciate that he is a good player and due to the fact I’m a Forest fan, but I don’t think people realise just how good Henri Lansbury is. Andy Reid has had much of the attention at Forest this season and while I appreciate the good work Reidy has done, he has his faults whereas Lansbury’s only one is the inability to control his tongue in front of the referee, picking up a few too many yellow cards along the way. Without Lansbury, Forest would be mid-table and I firmly believe that. Just look at their form while he was out injured. 2 wins in 13 games. For me, Joey Barton is the only central midfielder better than Lansbury in the division yet the former Arsenal man never seems to see his name alongside the likes of Reid, Bryson and Drinkwater. He is better than all of them. Able to play as a playmaker, midfield general or ‘quarterback’, if Lansbury stays fit next season then Forest may finally get over the line and reach the promise land.
