The 5 Most Underrated Players in the Championship

5th-  Liam Trotter (Bolton/Millwall)

liamtrotterIn at five is man mountain and midfield hardman Liam Trotter. Trotter moved to Bolton on loan in January and it is no surprise that Bolton have improved since he has come into the side.  The former Ipswich midfielder is the closest thing the Championship has to Yaya Toure with his brute strength, all-action displays and phenomenal passing range. The midfield colossus also has an eye for goal (more so at parent club Millwall where he netted 22 goals in 3 years). If Bolton do take up the purchase offer in the loan deal then they really do have a hell of a player on their hands, he may not have impressed so far at the Reebok but if he’s given time he could be the difference between play-offs and mid-table next season for Bolton. Far too good for relegation threatened Millwall.

I for one hope he gets in chance in the top flight in the near future.
