Relegation threatened Sky Bet League One outfit Shrewsbury Town have announced the double signing of winger Alex Rodman and striker Freddie Ladapo according to BBC Sport.

The Shrews are currently a point adrift of safety in 23rd position in the Sky Bet League One table and the club have moved swiftly in the transfer market to add some much needed attacking reinforcements.

Sutton Coldfield born wide man Rodman has joined the Shropshire club on an 18-month deal after being released by Sky Bet League Two strugglers Notts County. The 29-year-old boasts plenty of English Football League experience from recent seasons after enjoying spells with York City and Newport County prior to joining former club Notts County.

Striker Ladapo is something of a footballing journeyman with the player having already been registered for 12 other clubs prior to his loan move to The Greenhous Meadow. The 23-year-old has joined The Shrews on a loan deal from Premier League club Crystal Palace until the end of the season. Ladapo joined The Eagles from Margate last year for an undisclosed fee and is yet to make his first team debut for the club.

Both players could make their Shrewsbury Town debuts in the league fixture at Swindon Town on Saturday.
