The player who was on loan from Birmingham City is now said to have caught the eyes of promotion-chasing Bradford who won their away fixture against Northampton Town, on Monday.
The side sitting in fifth place have responded immaculately since the return of Stuart McCall in the summer and the signing of Jones would go a long way to boosting their hopes further,
The Bantams, however, may have to face competition for Jones, whose situation is said to be being monitored by several League One sides.
Port Vale caretaker manager, Michael Brown, asked for patience in the wake of Jones’ hinted departure, as he set out his transfer aims.
“We are working every day, we are just trying to get some over the line and we want to try to get the right ones,” he said.We have the cup game at the weekend so that is something to look forward to. But we are not in a rush, we will get them. But we are working every day to do that, so please be patient.”
