Brentford aiming to bring Spaniard back to Griffin Park

Brentford are hoping to sign Norwich City’s Sergi Canos on loan for the second time according to a report from West London Sport.

The Bees are currently lacking the forward department after Crystal Palace decided to terminate the loan of Sullay Kaikai and bring him back to Selhurst Park. That means they are on the search for a replacement and with Canos being a familiar face for the club, they are looking to sign him once again.

When Canos was contracted to Liverpool last season, he went on loan to Brentford and was a massive success. He made 39 appearances and scored seven goals and it led to the West London side trying to sign him on a permanent deal during the summer. However the Spaniard turned down the chance to return to Brentford and instead signed for Norwich in a deal which was believed be worth around £2.5m.

Unfortunately for Canos, this move is yet to work out for him. He has only made three appearances for Norwich since signing for them and he is desperate to get on the pitch, meaning he could end up being loaned out to another side for the rest of the season. And this has alerted Brentford would love to bring him back to Griffin Park and help them to move up the Sky Bet Championship. The only issue which may stop this move is Norwich may not want to help a potential rival with Brentford currently being in 14th position and the Canaries not that much higher in 9th.
