Roll the clock back 11 months and Knockaert was the villain having missed a penalty in the final moments of the play off semi final against Watford that would have taken the Foxes to Wembley. On Friday the Frenchman looked determined to help his team secure their promotion to the Premier League and his man of the match display in front of the Sky camera’s was rounded off with a sumptuous free kick that nestled into the top corner of Chris Kirkland’s goal. The win, followed up by Q.P.R. and Derby’s defeats on Saturday, meant the Foxes could party with promotion mathematically confirmed.
