Norwich City are tracking Huddersfield Town’s Nahki Wells, according to the Daily Mail.
Alex Neil is wanting to bolster his attacking options this month and the 26-year-old forward is on his radar.
Wells joined Huddersfield in 2014 an has been in impressive form of late for the Terriers. The forward has made 24 appearances for the Yorkshire club this season and bagged seven goals, all with great importance. He scored on the opening day of the season in a 2-1 win over Newcastle United in front of 52,000 disappointed Magpies and also scored a late winner in a hard-fought 1-0 win at Burton Albion.
The Bermuda international has been an important part of the Huddersfield squad and has scored 41 goals in 124 league games since joining the Championship outfit. Wells was a huge fan-favourite at his previous employers Bradford City, where he made his name. He scored 53 goals in 112 games for the Bantams. He also won promotion from League Two and played in the League Cup final during his time at the now League One club.
Norwich City are reportedly going to use money made from the transfer of Robbie Brady to Crystal Palace to pay for the services of Wells. Although, Palace’s bid of £7 million is less than Norwich’s £12 million valuation of Brady.
Norwich City defeated Derby County 3-0 today meaning manager Alex Neil is safe after the board were losing patience with the Scotsman. Huddersfield Town beat Wigan Athletic 1-0 thanks to a Nahki Wells goal and sit in fourth place in the Championship, six points behind Newcastle United.
