Leicester City 2 – 1 Sheffield Wednesday

Another three points for the Foxes send them within touching distance of the Premier League. An early Riyad Mahrez goal was cancelled out by a solo-goal from Wednesday’s Antonio. It was Leicester’s other French winger who sealed the victory, courtesy of an Anthony Knockaert free-kick after an hour played. Although Wednesday had the chances to earn a point, City players put their bodies on the line to ensure they took all three points meaning that they could be promoted if results go their way on Saturday.

After Derby and Q.P.R. lost on Saturday Leicester’s promotion to the Premier League has been confirmed.
