Wilder wants midfielder’s Bramall Lane return

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is holding talks with Premier League club Middlesbrough regarding the future of midfielder Harry Chapman according to the Sheffield Star.

The 19 year old Hartlepool born midfielder moved to Bramall Lane in August on a season long loan deal from Boro however the player returned to Teesside after sustaining damaged ligaments near the ankle area during a training session around three to four weeks ago.

Early indications were that Chapman would miss up to four months of action however Blades boss Wilder is currently discussing the situation with Middlesbrough to determine when the youngster should be fit to return to action. It is understood that should Chapman return earlier than thought, the player could return to Sheffield United and help The Blades in their end of season run in with the South Yorkshire club currently battling for automatic promotion.

Chapman impressed during his short time at Bramall Lane with the player scoring four goals in 11 appearances for The Blades including an FA Cup First Round hat-trick in a 6-0 victory over Leyton Orient.

The midfielder is believed to have been disappointed to have to return to parent club Middlesbrough with the youngster having thoroughly enjoyed his time as a Blade.
