Peterborough United ensured that they’d be spending Christmas in the Play-Off places, with a 2-0 victory at The Valley against Charlton Athletic.
Goals from Ryan Tafazolli in the first half, and Gwion Edwards in the second cemented Posh’s position in sixth place.
The result means that Posh are one point clear of the chasing pack, and have a game in hand on all of the top half teams. Winning their game in hand could see them move up to fourth in the Sky Bet League One table.
The three points were an early Christmas present for Posh fans, who were obviously thrilled with the performance.
Here’s what a selection of them had to say on Twitter:
This Posh fan is optimistic about what the next few weeks hold!
Excellent result, buzzing about that – goal should be to make sure we see out 2016 on 40+ points #pufc
