A video of Accrington Stanley fans fighting in the midst of their 1-0 Sky Bet League Two loss at Leyton Orient has arisen, in what is the latest episode of an ongoing series of crowd trouble at football games.
152 Accrington fans made the 496 mile round-trip to support their side play a crucial game at the bottom of the Sky Bet League Two table.
Sean McConville was given his marching orders after just 23 minutes as he was shown a straight red after hauling down O’s winger Gavin Massey, an action will started a frustrating afternoon for the Stanley fans.
Stanley were still level at 0-0 when the violence erupted, out of almost nothing, with stewards and security reacting quickly to try and bring an end to the crisis.
The video footage shows supporters clearly disagreeing before it escalates into a huge mass brawl between around 20 fans – leaving many other supporters of the North West team visibly distressed.
One eye-witness suggested that two O’s fans had infiltrated their way into the away end and were the cause to the ugly scenes.
This occurrence of crowd trouble is the latest episode in what is becoming far too often at football games.
Neither Leyton Orient nor Accrington Stanley have commented on the incident.
WARNING: The videos below show short scenes of a violent nature.
