Queens Park Rangers

PREVIEW: QPR v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Queens Park Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to return to winning ways when they meet in the SkyBet Championship at Loftus Road on Thursday evening.

The Hoops were beaten 3-0 by Ipswich Town at Portman Road last time out while visitors Wolverhampton Wanderers arrive in West London without a victory in their last nine league matches.

New QPR manager Ian Holloway must do without the services of experienced defender Steven Caulker who is ruled out with a hip injury while striker Jamie Mackie continues to be sidelined by an ongoing ankle problem.

There is some good news for The R’s with midfielder Massimo Luongo set to be available following recent illness.

Relegation threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers find themselves in 21st position in the SkyBet Championship table and Paul Lambert’s side are only outside of the drop zone courtesy of a better goalscoring record than rivals Wigan Athletic and Cardiff City.

Wolves go into the match without long term absentees Mike Williamson, Jordan Graham and Michal Zyro. Defender Danny Batth is set to return after serving his suspension.

QPR won one of last season’s meetings and drew the other. Rangers won 3-2 at Molineux with goals from Charlie Austin and Matt Phillips (brace) while the two sides drew 1-1 at Loftus Road.
