James Tavernier

It would have been a surprise if Rotherham’s loanee from Newcastle hadn’t have made the nominees for this month. His six games this month have seen him score three goals and also gain a vital assist as well. In the six games, Rotherham won five and drew one and in their last game it finished 2-1 to Rotherham with Tavernier scoring. Since joining Rotherham he has played 20 games with five goals and four assists, making him one of the strongest right-backs in League 1. His form this month has helped with defensive solidity for the Millers and his impressive display in a 6-0 victory over Notts County was noted by many. His scintillating form has quite deservedly earned him a nomination for the Player of  the Month.
