Interest in Scunthorpe United winger continues to rise

Several Sky Bet Championship sides are interested in signing Scunthorpe United’s Josh Morris according to a report from HITC Sport.

Morris signed for the Iron this summer on a free transfer from Bradford City and he has been a revelation this year as he has quickly become a star of Sky Bet League One. He has scored a stunning 15 goals this year, which would be a great tally for a striker at this stage of the season never mind a midfielder. He can also say he’s had seven assists this season which has helped Scunthorpe go the top of the league.

And it won’t be a surprise to find out that many Championship clubs are considering weighing up a move for Morris. He does have some experience in the league having played for Blackburn Rovers at the start of this decade, but he was never able to break into the first team there and was sold to Bradford City after having several loan spells away from Ewood Park. But now that Morris is tearing up League One, Championship teams have taken notice and think now that he can step up to the second tier and make an impact.

Scunthorpe are certainly prepared for bids to be coming in during the upcoming January transfer window but right now it is unknown who will be placing these bids. No reports have come in saying which teams in the Championship are planning to make a bid for Morris, but what is known is that there are a few seriously considering it.
