It certainly wasn’t a boring Tuesday night for Leeds fans, who saw their team come from behind twice against Norwich City before securing a famous penalty shootout victory in front of the Kop End.
Goals from Marcus Antonsson and then Chris Wood for the hosts cancelled out efforts from opposite numbers Alex Pritchard and Castro Oliviera, before the game was decided by the lottery that is penalties.
The victory is one that confirms their place among the English elite in the latter stages of the EFL Cup. The Elland Road faithful won’t be mulling over potential opponents for too long however, as the Quarter Final draw will be made following the conclusion of tonight’s cup action.
It was certainly an incredible win for United – and in this article I’ll be taking a look at how Twitter reacted to the encounter.

Firstly, there was certainly a ‘Bear Pit Atmosphere’ around Elland Road after the game…

Also, did Italian ‘keeper Marco Silvestri stake a claim for a recall following his performance?
I dedicate this tweet to Marco Silvestri. Let's forget everything that's happened before this. What a performance #lufc

Who do you think that Leeds will draw in the next round? Will it be Manchester United at home, or a trip to Anfield? Or on the other side of the spectrum, could it be a trip to the KCOM Stadium to face Hull City?
